On May 14th the most incredible procedure took place at Ridgewood Dental Associates for the most wonderful patient. Cecilia Brunoni, had an upper and lower set of teeth implanted into her mouth in a little over two hours. Mrs. Brunoni had all of her decayed teeth removed a few months prior to the procedure and had upper and lower dentures made while the teeth were being prepared in laboratories in Ridgewood and Mahwah, New Jersey and Sweden. Impressions had been made in her mouth but the template was being constructed far away for the actual day she would receive her teeth. This template was used by the surgeons to place the implants to which final teeth were mounted all in one day.

Cecelia was having a new procedure done that is known as Teeth-in-an-hour. Dr. Hilsen, a prosthodontist, and Dr. Carrao and Dr. Bovino both oral surgeons transformed both the upper and lower part of Cecilia’s mouth in an hour for each arch. This procedure is very new and done by very few offices worldwide but, what is even more amazing, is that both the upper and lower teeth were all done at the same time.

Cecelia, who chose to have no anesthesia although available to her, had only Novocain throughout the procedure. She left the office with a big beautiful bright set of teeth in the wonderful smile that she always flashes.

She reported that she felt great immediately without the bulk of the plastic of a denture and there seemed to be more room in her mouth
